Scout

I can't get Abigail's nose out of a book. She taught herself to read when she was 3 and has been addicted ever since.

Today, on the way to gymnastics, she told me that she really wanted to read "Tequila Mockingbird".

How funny is that.

And it's even more ironic that I was dead set on naming her Scout...but, alas, Daddy wasn't onboard with that one.

She would have fit the name beautifully though.

She might notice that when she does get around to reading "To Kill a Mockingbird".

Precious girl.

  1. isn't it GREAT to have a reader!!! Barre is not much a reader, typical for some boys. But my Audg loves to read too, and I am loving that she is starting to read some of the books I loved!! I got her a bunch of Little house on the prairie books for her age, and we all have been watching a few of the episodes. She loves them, though Barre perfers Bonanza!!!! Miss Abby!!!!!

  2. That is soooo awesome. My kids love to read but I have to read to them. Tegan will make up the story as she goes. I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to read some of the books I treasured!

  3. We still haven't ruled out Scout for a Kelly child's name. It was my Grandmother's nick name growing up.
